Unlimited free trips “Around the Volotea world” forever.

Volotea will double the prize when all its destinations are visited.

Volotea’s client recommendation rate stands at 92.5%.

January, 26th, 2017 – In a flight between Venice and Nantes, Volotea, the airline of mid and smallsized European cities, has passed today a truly milestone for an airline: more than 10,000,000 carried passengers in less than five years.

We are so grateful for this landmark that we wanted to celebrate it and honour these two cities, our first bases opened back in 2012, and famous for travellers.

Marco Polo, born in Venice, was famous for his epic trips to the other side of the world.

Jules Verne, born in Nantes, wrote “Around the world in eighty days” and “20,000 leagues under the sea”, among others.

So far, we cannot offer anything to the Far East or under the sea,… So, we decided to go further …In length and time!

Mr Pierre Droneau, our “Milestone Customer” will be awarded with free flights for his whole life: unlimited and forever! To discover for free all the “Volotea World”. Whenever and wherever his choice could be. Today we serve 79 destinations and there are many more to come soon, so more places to travel to!

And on top of that, here it is the Volotea challenge to the winner: the day that Mr Droneau visits the whole list of destinations in the “Volotea World”, he will be entitled to nominate another customer and give him/her the same present.

Volotea has crossed over a threshold today and we want to celebrate accordingly!

28 aircraft in 2017

In 2016, Volotea experienced a significant increase in its operations becoming the fastest growing large LCC in Europe in ASKs (Available Seat Kilometers) percentage terms.

Volotea also closed with a client recommendation rate of 92,5% and being the fourth most punctual low cost airline in the world, ranking third in Europe.

Starting with two bases back in 2012, Venice and Nantes, Volotea will count on nine bases in 2017: Venice, Nantes, Bordeaux, Palermo, Strasbourg, Asturias, Verona, Toulouse and Genoa, to be launched in April this year.

In 2017 Volotea will add more than 40 new routes to serve a lineup of 240 - 250, operating flights to 79 mid and small-sized European cities in 16 countries: France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Greece, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Israel, Albania, Moldavia, Portugal, Malta, UK, Austria, Ireland and Luxembourg. Volotea expects to carry 4.3 million passengers.

Volotea will count on 28 aircraft this year with the addition of 6 new Airbus A319s: 10 Airbus A319s and 18 Boeing 717s. More than 40% of the flights scheduled in 2017 are expected to be operated by Airbus A319.

The range of the A319 allows Volotea to operate routes with a longer distance and penetrate new markets. While the Boeing 717 has a range of 2,500km, the Airbus A319 reaches 3,500km.

Volotea expects to become a 100% Airbus operator in the next few years. This strategic decision allows the company to increase its passenger capacity by 20%, from 125 seats to 150 seats on its new planes. Both models are recognized for their comfort and reliability, with Volotea offering reclining seats 5% wider than the average in airlines, with approximately 30 inches of separation between each row.

Four Volotea’s Airbus A319 are based in Nantes, where one of the six new Airbus A319s will also be placed. The other five will be based in Bordeaux and Toulouse. The Airbus A319 of the 2017 line will be progressively during the first semester of this year.
